  • This was my first year attending LIB and it was soooo much fun. They had a really strong line up this year so I decided to give it a try. I mean the Gorillaz!? How much better can it get? It's rare to see the Gorillaz perform and I wasn't going to miss it! I have to admit though, lil dicky was definitely my favorite! We bought the 3 day GA ticket. We wanted the VIP tickets but didn't get them on time. The first day (Friday) we showed up about an hour before they opened only because my friend was already working downtown. It was a few minutes away, easy to walk to. They have designated areas for Lyft to pick you up and drop you off which will save you the hassle of finding were to park. Lines weren't too bad we got in pretty fast. We walked around, checked out the food options and then found a spot to sit and relax before our first performance. The schedule on the app was very handy. Most of the performances that we wanted to see weren't scheduled till after 6ish and we realized that it was the same way for the next 2 days. So for the next two days we came a little bit later. They had a variety of food vendors and it was delicious, just be prepared to spend about $10-$15 a person. Its not that expensive but it adds up through out the day. Of course they had "bars" too I mean what's a festival without alcohol right? Lol.. the drinks are pretty small, especially for the price ($12) but that was expected. When purchasing the tickets, it specifically tells you hat GA tickets will not be allowed re-entry after leaving the first time. Its mainly a "VIP" privilege. But this year they allowed GA ticket holders to go in and out 3 times. BUT you were not allowed re-entry after 9pm. That part kinda sucked only because we wanted to leave for a bit because we had time to kill before our next performances. The art was great! So much talent! And the performances were amazing, the whoIe event was well organized. It was a great experience and depending on the line up, I might go next year! :)
