| - Do yourself a favor and avoid this apartment complex! It's beyond horrible! I will never recommend anyone to reside in this community!
I was searching the net for my mother to find a place to live. I came across this website and found a 1 bed for about $580 or so (at least that is what was posted on their website when I first looked). I called to inquire for my mother and they provided me with the application. When my mother filled out the application, they told her the one bedroom was $630+ (which does not include water, taxes etc). They informed her they forgot to "update" the website! Since my mother is a truck driver, I walked the property with Monica, the assistant manager. The place looked busy and a little run down from the outside. I asked Monica, the assistant manager, about crime rates in the area. She informed me the place is very secure since they have patrol on site who patrol "daily". Oh... And guess what? Someone was murdered within the last 2 weeks at the complex. And another thing... My mothers mailbox was broken into. There was no sense of urgency from Monica to get that addressed. All she said "it was sent to maintenance". HELLO!!!! THERE ARE PERSONAL ITEMS, IDENTITY INFORMATION, CHECKS, that I explained to her and still no sense of urgency. I go in today to pay my mothers rent, because she is not able to online because they lock you out after day 3. They are closed on the 4th because of the holiday. My mother called them to check the balance and informed them I was coming in. Monica or the other woman informed her the "notice fee" would be taken off from she come today. I went in her place to pay and Monica didn't want to speak to me because I'm not on the account. But she was sooo willing to talk to me when she was trying to sell me on the apartment for my mother knowing I wouldn't be on the account. I asked about the fee being waived since Monica told me she posted it on the door TODAY! I said "you are charging $30+ for posting a note on my mother's door today even after I paid today?" She said yes! I was shocked. I went to the apartment and did see the 5 day notice (dated yesterday but she said she delivered it today). Monica signed and checked the box that says she hand delivered it to a person on the account or person of appropriate age... Which she obviously did not since no one is there!!! Oh.. And while at the office Monica threatened me with a 10
Day notice for a non compliance to be evicted?? How can she evict me if I'm not on the lease? How can she evict my mother if she already accepted the payment and printed me a receipt after giving me empty threats??? I'll give them a 10 day compliance to fix what is needed in the apartment and especially the mailbox or I can be released without penalty per law. They would be forced to let my mother out of the lease and reimburse the security deposit.
Please don't let the photos fool you. This place looks like a dump as you walk further into the complex. Management is horrible. Crime is constant. If you want to break your lease, it will be $1200 + your rent for that month with a 30 day notice. This apartment complex is terrible! Please stay away to avoid headaches from
Management and crime!
