I placed a call Sunday to Yes. They were quick to arrive (that was good) no extra charge for an estimate on Sunday. Two men showed up. After looking at my unit they stated I needed a new one. While one guy was looking at the cause of the why the pilot light would not stay lit the other guy was yelling at me saying you shouldn't have the monkey you got the last time to put in this one in. It's not up to code and if you sell the house and it burns down the house you are in trouble!!!!! He went on and on. So he looks through his book. I was quoted and given paper work for 1,800.00 for a new water heater 40 gal. Wow that's not even the whole story. The unit was still under warranty!! So the younger guys said to me. (call this number its under warranty and see what they can do for you)
I told them I thought 1800.00 was out of the question and the older sale person was like your not going to have us put one in right now. No, thank you.
This morning Monday I placed a phone call to the warranty company Whirlpool it was in fact under warranty I just had to bring it to Lowes and have them exchange at no cost!!!!!!!!!
So I placed a call to Yes and let them know what happened. I don't believe they even cared. I told them I would have been pretty upset if I paid 1,800.00 and it was still under warranty.
