| - I'll say the service technician, Zhora, was a really nice guy. That is the only nice thing I can say about this company.
My home warranty company shares the blame in some of my frustration but I'll keep this review solely about All Desert Appliances.
First, getting an appointment (for a janky fridge, dishwasher and oven/range) took longer than I'd hoped. The first appointment was 5 days after I reported the issues with the appliances. The day before the appointment, I got a call from All Desert saying the tech was sick and the next available appointment would be 3 days later. Seeing as I had no choice but to wait, I said ok.
On the morning the tech came out, he called 10 minutes prior to arrival which I really appreciated. He found the dishwasher irreparable, the freezer missing parts (so not covered by my sucky home warranty), and the oven/range would need a second opinion. Second opinion?? Ugh. At this point, I'd been without an oven/range for 11 days and now it seemed like I'd have to wait some more.
Many calls to and from the home warranty company to figure out status of the second opinion when finally, over a week later, I was told to have SW Gas do an emergency gas leak check. So I did. SW Gas came out and the guy was super nice but annoyed at having to come out for an issue that to him was so clear (igniter needed replacement).
More calls to home warranty company. More calls to All Desert. This is where the experience went from bad to worse. The woman who answered the phone was one of the most rude people I've ever, EVER, spoken with on the phone. She asked me whether the gas company representative left a red note (he didn't), and then argued with me about his diagnosis. She finally gave me an appointment for the following week. I explained, as calmly as I could, all the back and forth with the oven/range, what SW Gas representative told me, and I even acknowledged it wasn't HER fault, but she was a total B and told me she preferred I have the home warranty company request another appliance company come out and do the work. HUH??? I don't get it other than maybe they get scolded by the home warranty company for not catching an issue which should have been caught the first time around??
As much as I wanted to tell her to F off and cancel my appointment, I asked she keep the appointment because I did not want to deal with yet another company in my house and an even further delay. But I did put in a complaint with my home warranty company about using this company for future work.
The work was ultimately completed for which I am thankful. But I would not recommend All Desert Appliances because of the horrible woman on the phone. If she's the owner/related to the owner of the company, there is no hope. If not, dear owner, please find someone with people skills to answer the phone/make appointments.
