| - This review is for salon services: gel nails, event styling and makeup.
When I eloped in Vegas, my BFF and I got our glam on at Reliquary Salon. The experience was great; our stylists were lovely human beings. But the services themselves were just OK.
Gel nails: looked nice and lasted a long time. But color selection was very, very limited. Maybe a dozen colors to choose from - none of them were trendy.
Hair: I told my stylist I wanted loose, messy waves. Instead, I got a head full of bouncy, consistent curls that were teased and brushed over to one side. Looked sorta 80s. (I march to the beat of my own drum, and I pulled off the look. But it wasn't what I wanted. I didn't get the feeling that my stylist is current on trends and techniques. I felt like I got the best she had to give.)
Makeup: was OK. Like my hair, the finished look was sorta outdated. If you wanna get your makeup done here, you should know that this salon uses only Too Faced products. There are NO other options. Too Faced doesnt make a water proof finishing spray (kinda essential for brides!), but I didn't know that. So when I asked about setting my makeup, the best advice my stylist had was "just don't cry!" She also dropped bright pink lip stain on my light grey jeans. The stain is permanent and my pants are ruined :(
(The stylist who did my friend's hair didn't seem familiar with hair at all. She actually asked the woman who did my locks to borrow a curling iron.)
Bottom line: the stylists were nice and friendly. But this is not the place to visit for modern, on-trend styles.
