| - The hotel is more 3.5 stars than 4.
The hotel is easy to get to. It's right in the heart of Old Montreal and close to the Notre Dame, Metro and 10 minutes from the affordable airport bus.
Checking in and out was a breeze and service was courteous.
Rooms are spacious, large and well equipped. The room is large enough that the bed is sectioned off into its own area. There's not one, but two LCD TV's incase you want to watch in bed or in the main area. In addition to the usual hotel amenities, there was a Nespresso machine with 3 pods and a Bodum electric kettle. There was even a mini kitchen with two burners, pots, pans and dishes. Decor was classy - the pictures speak for themselves.
Now on to a few things that weren't so great. For starters, we were staying on the 1st floor and faced the courtyard restaurant. The sheers weren't opaque enough such that anyone could stare into our rooms if the curtains were open - so the curtains stayed closed. Second, the bass from the music blaring in the courtyard was enough to cause an annoying enough thump thump thump. Fortunately, the music is turned off at night, but it's on for most of the day. Finally, I found that the water pressure in the shower was lacking.
