  • Victoria is a magician! I wanted to color my virgin Asian hair with some crazy color and Victoria delivered more than I could ever expect. The quick version: if you're looking for a hairapist who knows what they're doing, makes great recommendations, and values the integrity of your hair while coloring it, you make your hair appointment here. The details: I've never done much with my hair before and this would be the first time lightened and coloring it, so I didn't really know what to expect, but I was warned straight up that it was going to take 4 hours since my hair is black (I'm Chinese) and it needs to be lightened to light blonde for the color to take. She's all about maintaining the integrity of your hair so it doesn't disintegrate after lightening/coloring it, which I've come to appreciate! It was a marathon, but it was such a chill, friendly environment that it sort of flew by. The coloring process ended up taking 4.5 hours, and with a quick trim and style, I think it ended up just shy of 5.5 hours. And I'm very pleased to say that my hair did not break and the color came out better than I could have hoped. I was stuck between 2 colors so Victoria suggested we do mostly blue/teal (my initial pick), with a few streaks of purple (the husband's pick), which was genius and I loved the outcome! She also gave me a bunch of advice on how to maintain the color for as long as possible. I didn't even think that far ahead I couldn't have wished for a better hairapist for this hair adventure.
