A Vegas trip means we can't leave without visiting the Peppermill. It wasn't that crowded when we arrived Saturday just about noon but there was still a good 20-minute wait. We figured we better wait in the Fireside Lounge.
We ordered a round of drinks. About 10 minutes later, we heard a huge crash. Five minutes later, the cocktail waitress arrived with a tray of broken glasses and two intact drinks. Ah, my Bloody Mary! Unfortunately, they didn't make the other drinks in time before we left for our table. The waitress explained all the drinks spilled on tray and so she couldn't read what the others ordered. Still, things happened and we forgave her.
Meals are huge as always. I ordered the Southern Fried Steak which I barely ate half. I love their hash browns which seem like individual thin sliced potatoes. They give you way too many eggs but who cares.
I just hope the rumors of them closing down are false.
