The vdara
Location: the location is great in my opinion as you are right on the strip with quick access to aria, Monte Carlo, bellagio and Caesars palace. Most of which you access without having to leave he comforts of air conditioning.
Hotel: LOVE how this hotel is smoke free! Check in was quick and staff were helpful and friendly, We dealt with Kyle and he was really good about upgrading our rooms and quickly sent house keeping up with everything we needed for the kitchen which was awesome cause we were hungry! Checkout was quick staff was friendly. Concierge was helpful, house keeping was thorough and pretty quick.
Rooms: LOVE the rooms. We upgraded to a corner suite with a view of the pool, and it was AH-mazing. First off the view was good as you looked out at aria which is a aesthetically pleasing and the pool was really pretty at night. The bathroom was big with great lighting for doing your makeup :-). The living room area was comfortable we watched get hard one night it was hilarious. The kitchen was great it had a full 4 person table, there was a full size fridge (and there was a smaller separate mini bar), a 4 top stove (no oven), a microwave and a small dishwasher. If you call house keeping they are happy to bring up a pot & pan, cutlery and dishes. Also beds super comfy maybe a touch too soft if that's even possible. Pillows were better than any hotel pillow I've had to use before. And I almost forgot I finished almost all my post trip laundry before we left as they have a both a washer and dryer for clothing.
Pool: pool was a decent size with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The highlight of the trip for the boys was throwing a mini football around the pool. It was fun that they were allowed to do this and they met a lot of cool people that joined in.
Gym: if you like cardio like me this is a perfect little space for you. If you like lifting weights mad require anything. Heavier than 50 lb dumbells and your own body weight then I suggest looking else where or paying to use Aria's gym or driving to Edge fitness on Rainbow. Vdara should really consider asking Aria to use their fitness facility for free on a case by case basis at a minimum as Vdara's gum really has nothing to offer in terms of weight training.
Overall: really loved the hotel and would love to go back if they were arrange something to allow guests to use Aria's gym for no extra charge. I also think that they should also allow cats to stay at the hotel as they are quieter than dogs and typically litter box trained.
