| - My son had a moped accident and broke both his hands and his left arm. Because of the time he was seen at Sunrise Hospital we were told to go to Dr. Taylor at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center. Making the appointment was painful. The staff here is awful, they care nothing about the patients. I was given a list of things I would need for this appointment, as if a 19 year old kid with 2 broken hands can run around town gathering what they should be able to get in the first place.
This office is 45 minutes away from me. When I realized there was one 4 minutes away I asked to switch. I was given the number to the patient advocate, whose name I can't remember but she was so useless we'll just call her Mouthpiece for the Doctors. You leave a message with these people, no one actually answers the phone. Considering what they deal with here that's unbelievable. Your phone call will take at LEAST 24 hours to be returned, if not longer. I can't imagine if you had some type of emergency, or just really needed to be seen by the Doctor that day. With this practice it seems impossible. So I told Mouthpiece for the Doctors that we were 4 minutes away from this location, 45 minutes away from the other and that my son had no transportation so we were picking him up, leading to hours and hours of driving. And with his injuries we were in for many appointments. This is why we needed to switch to the closer office. They turned us down and Mouthpiece for the Doctors was of NO help whatsoever. Why she even has a job is beyond me when she obviously can't help with the most simple of requests. Again, this practice doesn't care about patients, just gathering insurance money.
The care my son got was substandard. After walking around for 5 days with his hands only wrapped Dr. Taylor did not find it necessary to do x-rays. Really? I sincerely hope I never have to deal with either of the locations of Nevada Orthopedic Spine Center ever again, I didn't even personally have the injuries and dealing with them was beyond painful.
