  • We had dinner at Top of the World in the Stratosphere and it was a fun experience. The restaurant revolves 360 degrees so you get a great view of all of the strip, downtown and the outskirts of Las Vegas. The menu is minimal - focusing on classic like Wagyu, Chilean Sea Bass and Lobster Thermidor. I had the salmon - it was served with green beans, polenta and a small side of lobster. I chose the Riesling, which the menu said paired well with the fish dish. I wasn't disappointed. The salmon was delicious! It was beautifully presented on the bed of polenta with the lobster and green beans on top. The salmon was perfect; buttery and flaky and it was absolutely delicious with the polenta. We also had the cheesecake for dessert and, of course, it was absolutely decadent! A perfect way to finish off our dinner. The only downside was the long wait for the elevator (there's only two elevators to the top) and when the restaurant rotated around towards the sun, it was IN YOUR FACE. They had shades for the windows but only for the bottom panes, not the top. So the sun was shining in my face for a bit until we rotated away from it. I'd definitely recommend having dinner here later in the evening when the strip is lit up. I'm sure it's an absolutely amazing view.
