| - Gave the Palms Resort a go after staying at Palms Place a few years back, which wasn't my cup of tea being that it was a bit isolated.
The only Pros I can say is that the staff is very nice whether your at the Ghost Bar, Pool, Concierge lol Jessica at the pool was awesome for bottle service, very sociable.
Cons are that everything is insanely overpriced, let's start with the room. It's off the strip, and this this place can't touch the Hard Rock and what they offer. The rooms are of good size and the beds are comfortable, but no way should demand the cost of what is on the strip or that of the Hard Rock.
The pool area is pathetic, tiny and dated. It was so dead, we ended up doing bottle service with practically every bottle starting at $400. Individual drink is $15, bucket of crappy bear 6 bottles for $50, why not for $30 how much profit do you actually have to make. And the pool is just sad, not heated...the jacuzzi was slammed.
Ghost Bar, has really let their standards drop which isn't entirely bad. Did bottle service for 1k, you get the minimal, great service but you don't get anywhere close what you paid.
Drinks in the casino, $17 for a tiny mixed drink, ridiculous.
The $29.95 daily resort fee turns into $33.54 so they add around a 12% tax on that. Really don't think that is necessary, but they must feel good about squeezing a little bit more out of you I guess.
This resort need a make over, pool need to be gutted or expanded. I'm not sure how they think they can demand the prices they do...this would be the last resort I'd stay at in Vegas.
