K avoid this Bank of America at all costs... Marla is a liar and horrible assistant manager and representative of BofA. Received a BofA check from Auto Nation today for $5,000 - stood in line and line was getting lengthy behind me so Marla came from the lobby to assist.
She ran the check through and automatically said she needed to call someone to make sure it was legit so if I could just wait and she'll call me back up I won't have to wait in line (This didn't make sense because it's a Bank of America check and she should be able to check the computer but I assumed maybe b/c the amount okay) sat down and waited, watched the line die all the way down. I felt she didn't really need to call anyone and was just saying that so she could get the line down..
When I went back to see what was the update she says oh they're on the phone right now I can hear the hold music (??didn't hear anything) and says so just keep waiting.. she finally came out and said can't help you it's not in the system yet because it's dated today and I'll have to wait 24 hrs...
Fast forward!!!!
Called BofA customer service asked if checks issued same day need to process 24 hours and she said No that shouldn't be a problem at all. So Marla was lying like we assumed.
Went to another location - baseline and rural go here!!! Shawn took the check asked for 2 forms of ID and got the check cashed! Didn't need to call anyone, was easily able and capable of looking it up and said nothing about same day or having to wait.
AVOID MARLA IF POSSIBLE SHE'LL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOU OUT OF THE BANK JUST LIKE HOW SHE LIED TO US
