With the Metro at Yonge & Sheppard demolished to eventually make way for a Whole Foods, this is my closest place for groceries.
Rabba has always been pretty good for providing almost anything you could want in a large grocery store but in a smaller store. The regular prices are a bit more than what you'd pay at the larger chains but definitely less than convenience stores like Mac's or Hasty Market.
Produce, meats and breads are pretty fresh and they do have a prepare food counter. I find this part hit or miss but if you're in a bind and want something other than a slice of pizza from Pizza Nova in the same plaza, this usually will do.
Every other week, Rabba does have a flyer for their sales for the week and this is where the prices rival the larger chains. They usually are able to keep enough stock on their sale items so no one can accuse them of a bait and switch. I do find the most popular sale item to be yogurt and sometimes, the only flavours left are plain or cappuccino but they do restock at various times during the week.
The best part of this place is that they are a 24/7, 7 days a week establishment which includes holidays. It's nice to have one these in the neighbourhood.
One warning, parking is very limited and I find that usually 2 or 3 spaces are close for some kind of repairs. There is also one spot dedicated for handicapped parking. As well, there is also an entrance to residence parking for 2 condos in the same area. If you can walk over, that might be best. They do charge for $0.05 for plastic bags.
