  • First of all, the good news. Zak has done a great job collecting some of most extraordinary objects, both macabre and historical. This place can legitimately be called a museum due to the the extensive collection of objects from around the world and the impact some of the objects have had on society. However, the manner in which they are presented are nothing like a museum. If you have come to this place to be scared, you will be disappointed but they try. Keep in mind, this is not one of those manufactured haunted houses at Halloween. Again they try which only cheapens the true value of the objects within. If you come hoping to get a look at the the very interesting objects, you will be disappointed. You are rushed from room to room with a group of 12. The rooms are very small. After the tour guide speeds through the speech about the room you have about 30 seconds to take in the room and what's in it. Oh and if you want a scare....just try looking in the doll room at the start of tour. Apparently, only two people from our group were picked to go inside the room and the rest of us could only "peek" inside. Thought we all paid the same entrance fee but whatever. Anyway, when I started to look in the room, apparently I stepped over an imaginary line and out of nowhere a "little person" comes charging at me screaming at the top of her voice to not go into that room!!! LOL!! SCARY! OK people. If you are not picked to go into this doll room, it is ok. Got a good look and just a bunch of stupid dolls. I will not be going back as it is set up now. They need to get rid of the tour guides. Maybe have a person in each room and allow so many people in the museum at a time so you can ask questions while you are in each room. Know this is a money making business but I left feeling cheated. Need much more time in each room and maybe get rid of some rooms. What's with the puppet room anyway? I will not be recommending it to friends coming in from out of town or friends here in town unless changes are made.
