I'm giving Scottsdale 6 four stars just because I think it's cool we even still have an option in the valley to see a movie this way. And while it's a little run-down, it's still pretty fun to, well, drive in and watch a movie from your car.
I didn't have a problem with sound when I was there and the concession stand was nothing to shake a stick at either. It is a retro-looking stand that kinda makes you feel like you're in the 1950's, and it's stocked with all the standard movie fare, like popcorn, sodas and sugary candy.
Many, many years ago, I am pretty sure I saw E.T. at this same drive in theater right when it came out. I thought it was the greatest thing ever- even though my parents made my brother and I hide under a blanket so the cashier wouldn't charge us for kid tickets. Ahh, the memories.
