| - I didn't actually have any services at Elante, as they wouldn't honor my Groupon unless I paid an additional $24. I visited Las Vegas last weekend, and wanted to get a massage and facial, but I didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices charged by the big casino hotels. So I checked up on Groupon to see if any Las Vegas spas were offering deals and found one for Elante (found two, actually). I checked them out on Yelp, saw all the good reviews, and thought they sounded like a good deal. I called them first before I bought the Groupon to make sure they could accommodate an appointment for when I was in LV. I told the receptionist who answered the phone several times that I planned on using a Groupon. She informed me they charged the same price ($99 for a 60-minute facial + 60-minute massage) whether or not you used the Groupon, which made me wonder if the "savings" they identified on the Groupon (I think it was "a $240 value!" or something like that) was real. False advertising? I don't know. But I told her I wanted to use the Groupon (because i just didn't quite trust that pricing without a documented coupon). She booked the appointment for me, but when I arrived for it and reminded her I had a Groupon for it, she said it would be an extra $24 "tax" (she also called it a "surcharge" I think). I said I wasn't going to pay it, that the Groupon indicated it was paid in full, and I had not received any notice on the emailed confirmation they sent me that there would be an extra charge. She refused to budge, and actually waved a stack of printed Groupon vouchers at me as if that would convince me. So I cancelled the appointment, called a cab and went back to my hotel. If you plan on using a Groupon at this place, I advise you to rethink that.
