We went on October 30th, Halloween Eve and although it was packed, we got the fast passes and didn't wait but maybe an hour or less. Compared to the regular lines of folks waiting for 3 or more hours per house!! So we saved the Gates of Hell for last and I'm glad we did. All three houses were done up very well. Got a little wet, got shocked and pushed and belittled...everything they TELL YOU UP FRONT so if it's not your thing, don't go!! For those writing poor revues because of the aforementioned "abuse"...you were warned UP FRONT by AT LEAST 3 different employees before entering the house. It seems some folks just live to complain and find things to complain about. They are the reason great places like this are scarce...stay home if it's too much for you!!! The rest of us got what we paid for...scared out of our faces and thrilled beyond expectations!! They do give you a safe word at the Gates of Hell so no worries...if you can't go on, use the word and you're instantly out the exit door. Nobody on our party used it and I'm glad..we all made it through!! The level of effort and energy these folks give you is top notch!!! We have NO complaints and while waiting in any of the lines you have a great view of all three houses exit doors and get to watch the people screaming and running out. It's great entertainment while you wait!! Gates of Hell was by far the favorite BUT the other two houses were fantastic too!! Gates of Hell does shock you...with electricity, but it's not terrible and it adds such a cool element to the fear experience. They DO touch you, shove you and scream at you but again, all part of what makes it so great. Those that complained about the verbal abuse must have been raised in a bubble because it was not bad at all and just fun to hear them cussing and yelling totally in line with the character and experience. If I could give them more stars, I would. I clung to my husband the whole time!! My ring finger got stuck in one of the shock items (don't want to ruin it by disclosing) and I have a nice little welt on my finger for a souvenir!! But come on, it's all part of the fun!! I sincerely hope these folks continue giving us all what we love each year...to be scared out of our minds!!! Bravo!!
