Honestly I forgot how good this place was.
This was my first time having Nandos since the summer. We were immediately greeted and at first, I was thrown off. There was never a host/hostess when I last came and there didn't seem to be a strict table service structure either. My friend and I sat at a booth after the table was quickly wiped. We ordered half a chicken of lemon and herb (spice is painful) with a side of Peri Peri fries and mashed potatoes.
Of course, we compared this to other rotisserie chicken places including Swiss Chalet and take-away whole chickens from your local grocery store. It was an amazing meal - perfectly cooked chicken with a light glaze. The sides were also seasoned nicely - nothing was overly spicy (the fries). Just to be experimental, I dabbed some pieces of chicken in the least spiciest hot sauce - the Garlic Hot sauce. Keep in mind I'm someone who finds kimchi and Sweet Chilli Heat chips spicy. I still survived and was content with my meal.
I was also contemplating getting a Portuguese tart however, they looked like they've beens sitting there for the entire day. If there was a way for them to reheat them, I would have purchased one or two but I've neglected to ask and was already pretty full from my meal.
Another thing I want to note is how the workers seemed very diligent. I find this to be a good sign as hard works usually pay off, and that is shown through the consistently satisfied customers (including myself).
Overall, the place portrayed itself as an ethical and positive workplace, which made my customer experience equally as positive.
