  • With upwards of 2000+ reviews, there is not a lot that I can say that has not already be said. So on that note, I will narrow my review down to the following four points about Echo & Rig. 1). THIS PLACE HAS A MODERN FEEL VS THE TRADITIONAL STEAKHOUSE LOOK: When out of town guests or friends are seeking a "steakhouse" out on our Summerlin side of town, I tend to shy away from what one thinks of as a traditional steakhouse. You know the ones...darker ambiance and decor (maybe wood walls), dimly lit, appears stuffy and old school, rich heavy food choices and the traditional items you find on every menu from Smith & Wollensky to T-Bones (no offense) and usually very pricey. Echo & Rig has a ton of natural light, it lighter in color and has a big open feel. 2) I AM QUICK TO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND I DON'T EVEN EAT MEAT: Echo & Rig has a varied "tapas like, sharable, extensive" appetizer/side area of their menu which really is a highlight. This part of their menu has so many things that are not meat based and are delicious (do yourself a solid and do not leave without eating the portobello mushroom fries with dipping sauce...I order them every single time and love em!). But in addition to this great part of their menu and knowing that steaks are really the highlight of the restaurant, they always have salads, sandwiches or fresh fish to please any eater like me. And as for price in my first point, a steak will set you back $30, which seems incredibly reasonable considering that this is Vegas. A non-meat main dish will set you back under $25. 3). NO CORKAGE FEE: Let me repeat. Echo & Rig does not have a corkage fee. Unheard of in this town, this steakhouse is 5 stars on Yelp to me for this point alone. There is s a limit to the number of bottles you can bring, so call to clarify this. This makes Echo & Rig unique in this market. 4). BETH & STAFF: This spot can be very busy, for a variety of reasons, but also because of their patio seating and ability to accommodate large groups. Beth has been a manager and a server and every single time I visit, she is professional, welcoming, friendly and hustling. She remembers me and greets me with respect and delivers great customer service every single time. I would say this about any staff member I am sure, but Beth is notably my favorite. You are modern steakhouse to me Echo & Rig and with the no-corkage fee policy, you will always happily have my business.
