  • So I'm gonna title this "The Tale of Two Directions" as I had two different experiences. On the way TO Las Vegas, by the time I walked out of this airport I was ready to give it 4 stars. The flight from Newark was long, I was crabby and hungry, and wasn't a happy camper. I got off the plane and had to take the monorail over to pick up my luggage. I grabbed a protein bar to take the edge off, hopped on the shuttle (which takes about 40 seconds), walked a bit to the luggage area and as I walked up my bag came out. Waited outside for about 5 minutes and my coworker picked me up and we were on our way. Nothing to complain about. On the return trip-ugh. Check-in at United was a little slow, but that was just volume. Walked over to get through security and it's a giant CF. People everywhere, long lines, dumbass TSA directing people from line to line...I changed lines 3 times - as directed. I had 2 flight crews cut my line and I had 2 families with wheelchair bound members cut the line...all in the FIRST security line. Then once I make it through THAT line I go stand for 30+minutes in the second line to get scanned. All this for a RED-EYE flight. Finally get through the line and take the shuttle to the gates - of course I'm the farthest gate possible (not their fault, just annoying) and when I get to gate 58 there are no charging stations.
