  • I honestly can't believe how real some of these celebrities look!!! Several times I looked around and thought my boyfriend was talking to some random person, but he was just looking at a statue. Super creepy in a way. I wouldn't want to work here and have to walk through at night by myself or something, I don't think my nerves would be able to handle it. We got a Groupon, which ended up being a great deal because it came with discounted tickets, buy one get one free wax hands, a voucher for two free drinks and a discount in the shop at the end of the museum. If we hadn't gotten the Groupon I wouldn't have gotten the wax hands, nor would I have bought any drinks. Most of the figures looked remarkably like the people they were modeled after, but there are some that miss the mark, which is understandable. Some of the figures looked as though they had a wonky eye or what not, which can easily be fixed. But in the section where you take a picture with Elvis in his car the employee seemed to genuinely not care about her job. I told her that there was lipstick on the face of Elvis from women continuing to pose with him, but she just shrugged her shoulders and went about her day. I had never gotten my hand waxed before and it was honestly pretty cool. I just don't think they train the employees on how to make an attractive wax hand like they have on display. I think they mostly focus on teaching them how to complete the process in general. The ice water was understandably cold, and the wax seemed to burn my hand from the sudden change of temperature from super cold ice to 170 degree wax. After the second coat it was ok. My boyfriend and I opted to get waxed as though we were interlocking fingers, but the end result looks like two man hands holding each other. I understand that the wax adds a layer or two, but my hand is considerably smaller than his and our friends and family cannot tell the difference between the two in the finished product. After the wax hands we went through the rest of the museum and got our drinks toward the end, which I'm glad that I didn't pay for. Our Groupon was good for a free signature drink which was their pina colada slushy, which you could get with or without alcohol. We got ours with alcohol and could not tell that there was anything inside the drink besides concentrated coconut flavored sugar. It was so intense I had a headache after two sips and had to throw it away. I will say that the other drinks were reasonably priced compared to what you would find at other places on the strip. The 4D movie at the end was ok. The movie was about some press conference at Stark Industries that, of course, went awry and all of the main Avengers showed up to help Tony Stark. It was an alright cartoon that was obviously aimed at the children who were brought by their parents and probably really bored through the main part of the museum because they are unfamiliar with most of the people inside. #5/100
