I studied here once upon a time. I had quit for a while after 8th grade but I started back up and eventually got my black belt before i graduated high school.
I still remember many of the precepts and teachings Sensei taught me. He and his staff helped build my confidence, discipline and strength. I recall the paper I wrote before my green belt on conflict resolution and the best ways to not need to use my training.
I have moved on from Pittsburgh, and from my karate practice, but in conversation with my family last night, this studio came up and I recounted all the fun I had there. I was only 5 when i started and I laughed about the thought of playing this game I'm sure the instructors made up called "ninja trail" which was an imaginative obstacle course we did at a birthday party of one of my classmates.
Anywho, I highly recommend this for parents of children looking for a fun, rewarding and inexpensive after school activity that in my case helped me find many parts of my personality that I'm very proud of. I hope Sensei will teach my kids some day should I settle down again back in my beloved burgh.
