  • Ok, I know this store isn't the biggest or fanciest and I am totally convinced the current reorganization is only being done to confuse me, but coming from out of state I find what I need and they have incredibly helpful (and polite) employees who have gone out of their way to assist me and others. I like it when the deli starts to ask if I need cheese and then apologizes because they remember I can't have dairy. While I have found some unusual East Coast items I haven't seen elsewhere, the small size means not every brand or size is available. I have been disappointed by available meat in almost every market in Phoenix. Bashas is the one place I feel confident that I will not come home, open a pkg. and find that when I turn over a steak I am not looking at large amounts of inedible gristle. I do wish that the produce would meet those same high standards. So often it just looks tired. I realize no store can completely please everyone, but the pluses outweigh the minuses for me.
