| - Last weekend, I arrived at 9:20AM for my 9:30 appointment. I had reserved this time and date for a haircut almost two weeks prior, and responded with a C to the text message confirmation. But I never got the cut I came for, or even saw anyone who cuts hair. I stayed for 40 minutes waiting for my appointment, but apparently my stylist was with someone else who also had a 9:30 appointment.
Confused at first, I wondered if maybe I'd gotten the time wrong. The receptionist said my appointment was actually for 9:45, so I waited, but wondered why they were scheduling hair appointments 15 minutes apart. By 10:05 I was still sitting in the waiting area and had to leave to be somewhere else.
Later, I found a missed call that had been placed at 9:10 that morning by someone at the salon. The message asked me to arrive between 9:45 and 10:00 because the stylist was running late. I hadn't been mistaken about the time at all. I was just ignored and then lied to about my appointment time, as though it was my fault for being there too early.
Never again will I return to this place, which is unfortunate because there is a nail tech whom I like. But if this salon thinks so little of their customers that they won't even 'fess up to an appointment error, and instead try to tell me I'm the one who's got it wrong, then I'm much better off somewhere else.
Note to management. When a customer is sitting in your waiting area for forty minutes waiting for their confirmed appointment, maybe you should come out and see what's going on instead of letting the receptionist make up excuses.
