  • Metro has great pizza (served piping hot on silver stands) and solidly decent calzones and pasta. The best part about Metro is the atmosphere: The tables are covered in white butcher paper and each table is given a pile of crayons. While this may be a ploy to distract customers from the hungry anxiety of waiting for their order (you can't watch steaming pizzas carried through the restaurant - past your table - while you're occupied with tic-tac-toe), the wait hasn't been unbearably long in my experience. They also have theme nights, like 70's/Woodstock and Hawaiian. I seem to remember something about dressing up and getting some sort of discount. This is great place for a lively group outing. (The Flamingo/Decatur location is slightly more intimate). In sum: A casual, fun place with good pizza.
