Second floor of the Hotel Plimpton. Two blue hounds greet you over blonde wood floors in a dimly lit setting with dark wood tables. Inventive cocktails are a great way to start. Try the lawless; the glass comes upside down soaking in vanilla pipe smoke over which a tasty bourbon concoction is then poured - incredibly delicious! Appetizers are inviting - the shishito peppers with siracha aioli are good although no longer so imaginative as they once were. The kale salad was fresh and flavorful. Entrees are where the fool really shines. Fresh handmade pasta with cherry tomatoes are simple but tasty. An incredibly crispy and juicy game hen with Asian flavors over a bed of fried cauliflower was phenomenal.
