| - My home away from home. My favorite hotel in the world.
With the high ceilings and wide hallways, the Palazzo feels like a plush mansion or palace. The decor is tasteful and classy.
The suites themselves are spacious and split into a sunken "living" area and a "sleeping" area, especially great if you're here for work. There's ample space to workout in the living area, and it's a pleasure to do yoga overlooking the Strip with the mountains in the distance. The bathrooms have a shower and a nice, deep tub (fun for bath bombs and bubble baths!) and I pretty much live in the fluffy bathrobes for the week I'm there. The rooms are quiet and peaceful - good insulation!
They have a truly outstanding staff. I've seen them handle obnoxious drunks late at night with grace and patience. When we had issues with the management at another hotel, we asked the Palazzo front desk for advice and they took the time to help us even though we weren't booked there. Hell, when we told them this time around of our terrible experience at the Wynn, they generously comped us a fridge for our week. Everyone, from housekeeping to security to valet to concierge is so sincere in wanting to do a great job and help. Love it. Same for the staff on the casino floor, esp. the late night crew.
Everything you need is nearby, too. There's a 24-hr Walgreens downstairs, restaurants, shops, Gondola rides ... I take the elevator downstairs and stop at the Honolulu Cookie Company for cookie samples on my way to the Strip. The Palazzo is connected to the Venetian so you have easy access to all the good stuff in there, too.
It's north enough on the Strip that you avoid the Margarita necklace crowd and strip club hustlers but are still close to the action. Also a good location if you want to hit up Chinatown, the Arts District, or Downtown bc you'll have to bus, uber, or cab it but at least you don't have to fight your way through center Strip traffic.
It's worth every penny. With other hotels on the Strip, you get the feeling that you're paying for the location bc the rooms are small and cramped. With the Palazzo, it's more like paying for a chic little apartment managed by the nicest hosts in Vegas.
