| - I was really looking forward to brunch at Zada Jane's on a Thursday about 10am after hearing from great things from locals. However, after poor service, incredibly slow responses in every department and very lack luster food, I couldn't see myself ever returning.
My visit was mid-morning on a Thursday and the disorganization started when my group of six walked in. Do you wait for a table or seat yourself? I'd recommend at least checking in before sitting, especially if you want to sit on the patio. I placed an order for a TLC biscuit with a fried, runny egg, cheddar cheese and apple maple bacon. I was wit a party of six people and we waited 45 minutes for our food. During this time our waiter never checked on us, let us know when our food would be out or apologized/explained the long wait. When the food finally did arrive, it was not delivered together, there was a fifteen minute gap between meals arriving, with my simple biscuit arriving last. Two of our orders were incorrect, including mine where the fried egg was completed cooked through with a broken yoke and cheese was missing from my meal. After having them re-do my meal they biscuit arrived back with one tiny slice of bacon, way too much cheese and the actual biscuit was very sub-par. I would have blown it off as a simple kitchen mistake, but everything about Zada Jane's screamed "problem": from the food, to the slow service and waits to the waiter himself.
As a regular restaurant patron, I am paying for a meal and an experience that I cannot replicate at home. I would highly discourage anyone thinking of visiting Zada Jane's to save yourself from a disappointing experience.
