| - My girlfriend and I both applied here around March 2015 she was "approved", however I was not, given my current financial situation. The Admin Fee was 150$ plus another 50$ application fee. We applied for a 1 bedroom apartment and were told the 150$ was to guarantee our unit. Since she was approved and I was not, I was not "allowed" to live there...ok, why does it matter if the person who is financially responsible is living there? Its not like she is subleasing it to me. So we both thought, it doesn't really matter if I'm on the lease. I am deploying to Afghanistan for 7 months and would be in and out of the country. God forbid a 4 tour Combat Veteran visits the premises lol, merica! When we called to speak to the manager or whoever it was, he kept telling me I can't live their...I get that already. So... I cant even visit or look at the place or what? Lol, anyways my girlfriend then asked him if she can get her money back? At least the $150 "holding fee". He said, "I will talk to management and see what we can do". Completely avoided the question. They did not call us back, we called again. Spoke with Brenda, our leasing agent. She said she will call back...no call. Ok so at this point we need an answer because our current contract is ending and do not have a solid answer. So...was she approved with conditions, we still don't know? So, we called today again to ask for the "holding fee" back and was told we would not get it back unless we got denied or we canceled within 48hrs LOL...WTF, wasn't I denied? I think because they figured I was going to be staying there at times they would give us a hard time, I don't get why even give us a hard time. I have learned that people are not willing to help out anymore, they just throw "the policy" at you and you can go F yourself. As a Veteran it makes me think about the things I've done for this country and the sacrifices I've made for people to be so ungrateful. Then you ask why so many homeless Vets. Anyways...well, it doesn't really matter now, Its ok, 200$ gone but we've managed to find a better place.
BTW the online prices are wrong, they advertise one price but when you apply it is a different amount and Im not talking about taxes and other fees. Im talking about the actual base price. On a good note, If you've never had any bumps in the road, this place is for you. Just make sure you ask questions.
