The night we were there to eat at PERCH, Container Park had live karaoke for a donation event, and it was very entertaining. Although I could tell the couches were wet from a previous rainstorm (Vegas, you rain wussies:P), it didn't deter people from plopping down on the grass to enjoy themselves.
The event was live karaoke with a real back up band for a cause. If you donate, you get to sing, and people get to watch you.
What's most impressive about container park is that it's an exercise in restraint and efficiency. Most restaurants and stores and tiny, but it just means everything that's there serves a very succinct purpose, just like the park itself.
I have to applaud Vegas for this, and my hometown (Seattle) could stand to take a page from this book. I hope Vegas continues it's revitalization of downtown!
