Suburban Express is hands down the worst transportation company I have ever had the misfortune of using. In early 2013 I bought a two-way ticket between champaign and O'hare. I waited for that bus an hour before it was supposed to arrive and an hour after it was scheduled to leave and nothing (strike 1). I kept trying the customer service but of course this awful company only has an answering service that tells you to mail them something (strike 2). At that point it was too late to track the bus so my parents had to drive me instead. I mailed in a request for a refund and didn't hear back from them for over a month (strike 3), so I decided to cancel the transaction. When I finally heard from them, they told me that their records show the bus arriving and I therefore was not allowed a refund, at that point however the transaction had long been canceled on my credit card (since it took them what felt like an eternity to reply). Half a year came and went and I heard nothing from them so I believed the matter over, then I get an email from some random student informing me of a lawsuit being filed against me in Ford County from Suburban Express (strike 4,5,6,7), he told me that he had "no affiliation with suburban express" which I found dubious. Unfortunately because I kept receiving all the lawsuit mail at my home address rather than my current I was pretty much one step behind the lawsuit the entire time. When I talked to the lawyer at UIUC she honestly looked fed up with the amount of lawsuit Suburban Express keeps filing and the lawyer they're using. Pretty much if you sneeze in the wrong direction they sue you. DO NOT RIDE SUBURBAN EXPRESS!
I later find out that the founder of this miserable and lawsuit happy company is a University of Illinois alumni and I swear he is the most embarrassing alum this university has. He should be ashamed of his appallingly bad customer service practices and plethora of lawsuits. DO NOT RIDE SUBURBAN EXPRESS!
