I booked this hotel as part of a trip purchased as a gift for my mother. Sadly, my mom had a medical setback and her doctor told her she should not be traveling. The original booking was made through Expedia. Expedia called and asked for a refund based on medical circumstances and were refused. Since then, I have made several attempts to email the hotel directly but have not received any response at all. I have offered a doctor's letter. Nothing. All of the other hotel bookings I've made for this trip have agreed to a full refund for us, regardless of purchase conditions, considering the medical circumstances, EXCEPT THE MONTREAL NOVOTEL. The other hotels and even the airlines were so kind and humanitarian in their responses. I would have appreciated any type of response from Novotel, but got nothing. And now I'm stuck with two hotel rooms for one night that I cannot use. When my mom is cleared to travel and I rebook I will certainly avoid this hotel. So disappointed.
