| - I was finally tired of looking at my cracked iPhone screen, which is not covered by the Apple Warranty, so I researched repair places on Craigslist. I found this place, which I liked, because they had an actual "storefront." By storefront, I mean they rent a small office in a Harrisburg Storage facility. Still, a storefront, well-lit with security cameras and parking nonetheless.
I got the screen fixed for $30 and less than 30 days later, I had a problem with the screen "blacking out." I could barely see anything on it, it was so dark. This place does offer a 30 day warranty, so I took it back and asked him what the problem was. The touch aspect of the screen worked fine, I just couldn't see anything. I was told it was definitely the "backlight" and that it would need to be soldered. They do not do any kind of soldering, and apparently no one else does either.
So, I tried my luck with the almighty Apple Gods. I mailed in my iPhone to have Apple Support repair it. They replaced the screen and sent it back and said the old screen was defective.
Be careful with this place, make sure you get a receipt for repairs and make sure they are going to honor their "30-day warranty."
