  • WARNING: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This was my first time taking my Kitty to get his first hair cut and what an awful experience it was! First off, my Kitty is four years old, I found him when he was just 6 months in the streets and kept him as my own. He is an orange tabby and also part maine coon. I wanted to get a 'lion cut' due to his long fur and because of how hot it will be this summer. I thought because my cat has health insurance through Banfield that he would have been greatly taken care of because he is well known there. Wow, was I in for a shock. I dropped him off at 9am to get a call about 15 minutes before noon to the lady saying "Your cat is a VERY mean cat" and she continued to explain to me that he bit her and she was going to need stitches. Well I was calm and said I was on my way to get him. When I arrived she then explained that he was out of control and was again a 'mean cat'. She said she could not finish her job blow drying him because he was crazy. She handed me him in his kennel and then gave me a paper to pay up front without letting me get a chance to view him. I then grabbed the kennel, took him to the front, and looked inside to see my cat shivering, cold, with EYE BOOGERS and crust. I was LIVID. The older lady at the cashier then told me after complaining about my cat's condition that I needed to go back there and talked to her myself. I told her "no and that she needed to the manager because my cat is afraid to go back there". The manager at the time (walking past) stopped and said "OHH YEAHHH 'THE CAT'". I then told her "Um no not 'the cat' MY CAT". She apologized for offending me and I then told her this was absolutely ridiculous and explained in full detail my experience with Monica the pet groomer. Her bad mouthing my cat, her not wearing gloves when dealing with pets, and etc. To get a bill of $78 for my cat to be wet, shaking, and crust in his eyes. I told her she needed to contact me if my cat was THAT BAD. I also didn't like the fact that my cat was referred to as "THE CAT" "THE MEAN CAT". Never in customer service through this company have I ever been so upset. She then said "it was free" and I still tipped Monica but it was not deserved. The next day I noticed a red mark on my cat's mouth and now it has turned into a dark purple color. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH MY CAT.
