  • A nice space with friendly staff and awesome food! My husband and I ordered their torched mackerel, garlic fried rice, carbonara udon and karaage. Torched mackerel - amazing and unique flavors of eating each hand torched mackerel with a slice of lemon and kiwi. The staff hand torch it at the table, and the torched mackerel tastes so good with the acidity of the lemon and sweetness from the kiwi! The flavor combo blew our minds! Garlic fried rice - delicious and not clumpy! It has great garlic flavors and sesame, and the most surprising element is the ume that gives the fried rice an unique fragrance! Carbonara udon - nicely cooked and chewy udon!! It was such a good texture. Overall flavor was good and doesn't feel too heavy. Karaage - batter was a bit heavy for our taste, overall the chicken was well seasoned and tender. If we lived in Montreal, it would be one of our staple izakayas for sure! I think this place might be better than some popular izakayas in Toronto!
