Longo's started off originally selling produce by the Longo brothers and has now expanded in to a quality grocer minus the snobbery.
This particular location is housed in a former locomotive repairs complex, and many of the original elements have been maintained or otherwise incorporated in to the design of the store.
You'll find the standard prepared foods, deli, seafood, meat and bakery counters but also an extensive variety. They have a dedicated kosher freezer, an extensive Italian imports cookies aisle, and all sorts of interesting products that I certainly haven't seen at my local Superstore or Metro.
They carry a lot of specialty items and even have their own gourmet coffee station where beans are roasted and grinded on site. For the lazier coffee drinker there is a Starbucks.
The prices are less expensive than Metro and probably more on par with Loblaws.
Corks is an in-store restaurant offering Ontario wines and craft brews. You can grab a beer and a half-dozen oysters for $10. Not a bad place to be during Happy Hour?
