  • A couple of days ago I came to the Bake Shoppe to get a bday cake for my fiance. I came around noon, picked the flavor and wrote the text for the inscription and left the cake at the shop to be picked in the evening. When I came in the evening, I was given the cake with no inscription and was told that for some reason they forgot to do it and at that time there was nobody at the store who could write it on the cake. Needless to say, I was upset, the cake is more than just filling and frosting, its an experience. I planned to present it at a surprise party with candles and the whole point of getting it from a specialized bakery and not some grocery store was really the customized experience. I barely got any apology from the store attendant and no offer of compensation of any sort. She wrote the inscription with a black marker on a piece of plastic and stuck in on top of the cake. $34 completely wasted. Will never trust this place again.
