| - Thanks to another Yelper, I was able to check out Jozsa Corner during a chilly Saturday night this month. We feasted, we drank, and we had an amazing night at this charming little restaurant!
Jozsa is a Hungarian family style eatery, easy to miss in Hazelwood if you're not following a GPS or aren't familiar with the area. The old building (house) they're in is unassuming; when you open the door you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the tables; and the tables are set up in a cozy arrangement that will remind you of a night at home with your loved ones.
Jozsa also requires a reservation, due to the intimate setup - but it's SO worth getting the group together for that reservation (you need 4 people on weekdays, 6 on weekends). The food is spectacular here! It wouldn't make sense for me to review every dish since the menu is constantly evolving. Rest assured: everything is homemade, served as it's ready, and is fresh and tasty beyond words. You'll be told about every dish as it comes to your table as well. Home cooked Hungarian food - what could be better?
How about enjoying six courses of home cooked Hungarian food! Seriously, come here hungry. Bring wine, too!
You'll also want to come ready to mingle, since you will likely not be the only party at the table. Also also, the owner and main cook will talk the night away between cooking and after cooking as well. He's a delight to listen to, full of stories and history.
I cannot recommend this place enough - you will have an experience unlike any other, and will bond with friends and newcomers alike over some amazing food. What could be better?
