| - We just moved to Madison and while looking for an apartment, we have been staying here for a few days in room 211.
When I get to a hotel or motel, I always do a bedbug and roach check and this place is super clean. The bed has a mattress cover on it; the kind that zips and envelops the whole mattress. I opened it and checked the actual mattress, which looks brand new.
The carpet is a little outdated but, like the rest of the room, clean, so I'll say it's retro.
The shower is huge and has one of those curved curtain rods for even more space and the showerhead has settings that range from "gentle mist with accompanying flute solo" to "pressure-washing the driveway". The entire bathroom as well as the vanity in the room itself were absolutely spotless.
Did I mention this room was clean? I mean, wow. The folks who work here take pride in what they do.
The continental breakfast is your typical fare of waffles, cereal, pastries, oatmeal, toast, bagels etc, nothing special, but it stays stocked and fresh and no one said anything to me when I took a bagel up to my room for my partner, (who often sleeps through breakfast.)
I had one small problem while here but it was easily resolved by Stacy who I believe is the manager.
I had a room booked for me by a friend for Thursday and Friday and we were due to check out Saturday morning but the apartment complex told us that Monday would be the earliest we could expect to move in. So I called down to the front desk and the man I spoke to said there were no rooms available for Saturday or Sunday.
However, when I immediately went on the Wyndham website, our same room type was available for both days. I booked it online and when I came down for breakfast I talked to Stacy. She sorted everything out and sent housekeeping through to completely clean the room as though we had checked out.
When we came back up to the room, everything was spotless, just like when we checked in 2 days ago.
