  • my experience with jostens is very disappointing. My husband and i went on this website to purchase our sons high school graduation announcements. Our son has worked very hard to complete his education thus far and being the proud parents that we are we wanted to commemorate this day by sending out announcements. We decided to order from Jostens because it is the schools official company that is used. We went to the website and looked for the classic embossed announcement that i wanted to use. My first impression was that the outside was what I imagined but why didn't it show exactly what was on the inside. I looked at the order form and it had a space where it asked my sons name so i filled it out and figured that this was asked because they were going to print his name it. why would I assume that? BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE FOR! I got my second red flag at the end when i was about to complete my order, it said NO REFUNDS! Now i should have known better because usually company's that have a high request for refunds do this. They have these high request because usually on some level they are scamming the costumer or they are misleading them into buying something they already know they will not be satisfied with. needless to say we received our announcements and were completely dissatisfied. first of all the cards and envelopes were damaged. all warped and bent out of shape. the envelopes were glued together. then we opened the announcement and did NOT have our sons name anywhere on it. it was basically a cheap, generic invitation to a graduation ceremony. This is not what I ordered. If i wanted invites I would have bought them. I wanted an announcement of his graduation with his name date and the school he is graduating from. I called Jostens to complain and the costumer service rep told me that to print each students name on them it would take a lot of time. I told her that is exactly what we and every other parent thinks they are paying for when we order these things and that I felt like they mislead me and then sold me a generic product that was given to all the the students when i paid good money for an item that should have been customized for my son. She told me that they get this a lot and are currently working on fixing the problem. WHAT?! so you know that what you are selling is not what people want and your still selling it to us. incredible business ethics! of course they did not give me my refund but they did offer to resend new cards with little cards inside that say his name. Thanks a lot. the writing inside is still going to be ridiculous and i no way convey the message I needed. I did learn a valuable lesson though next time i will go to a local graphic designer and order exactly what I want. that way I will be supporting local business as well as getting my money's worth.
