  • I saw my second show here this last weekend. My first one was Brett Eldredge about a year ago and second G-Eazy on 2/25/2018. When we saw Brett Eldredge, we bought tickets the day of for section 203 and weren't expecting to be able to see great but it was alright. We walked right up to the inside entrance, right through security, and had no problems finding our seats. This time, I wanted to try general admission to be close to the stage. We were forced to wait outside in the cold for about 40 minutes before being let in which wasn't a huge deal but after we were let in, we were directed to another line where we had to get a wristband to get into the general admission area. Surely there is a better way to handle this. Some people had gotten emails saying that they could go pick up their wristbands that morning but I never got one. Only go for GA if you are prepared to wait in multiple lines for a very long time. This theater is really just too big for it's shape. The general admission floor is way too big and the seated area is too far back. We got to be about 10 rows back from the stage for G-Eazy but I'm only 5'3" and with a tall-ish person in front of me, it was impossible to see anything. Thank goodness he moved! The stage should be higher if they're going to have GA shows here. The seating area, though, is way too far back to be able to see anything without the screens. I also want to address the major security issues going on here. There is so much marijuana around the theater that my clothes smelled like it when I left and I had never smoked any. I understand that it's just part of the environment sometimes but security needs to be increased so this stops, especially for a show that isn't 18+. I hate to compare so specifically, but that has never happened to me at The House of Blues. Overall, I gave 3 stars because, while I have experienced so much better, the sound quality and lighting inside was amazing both times I went. It was also clean and beautiful inside the lobby and bathrooms. We had a great time, regardless.
