This is really no longer a Bank. The last few times I went here to make a deposit into my account I was asked "Why don't you use the ATM to make the deposit?" They don't want people coming into the bank to do banking. The bank is now set up as a Brokerage Office. They want to help you invest in the Stock Market, not to deposit money into your checking account.
So this time, so as not to bother them, I decided I would make my deposit through the ATM. The ATM took my check, returned my Card, and shut down. Screen went blank. Went into the bank and the Representative appologized but said I'd have to get on the phone and report it, I'd be given temporary credit until the actual check was recovered from the ATM. She said I could either go home and call BofA from home, or I could sit in an office at the Bank and call. I chose to call from the Bank. I spent the next 25 minutes on the phone with a BofA representative explaining that their own ATM had taken my deposit and shut down. Of course they couldn't just open the ATM and find my check. A technician would have to be dispatched. The attitude from the very beginning was "Our ATM took your deposit and crashed. So now it's your problem. You solve it." So I now have a Claim Number, and a temporary deposit that will be made in five days. Meanwhile they will "investigate" my "claim".
Don't go to Bank of America if you're interested in doing banking. Go there if you want commisioned sales people to advise you on how to invest in their fee-loaded accounts.
