| - Two words: BED BUGS!
This hotel is disgusting. The employees are rude and uncaring, if you don't believe me, just give them a call and ask for information on something, anything. My negative experience began with that and the hits just kept on coming.
I called to see if I could pay a few dollars more for one of the updated cabana suites across the street, since online it was only $5 to $10 more most nights. They quoted me $40 extra per night. Okay, fine. Nevermind. Stayed with my king tower room.
Arrived at the hotel, it smelled horrible. Like smoke so strong it burns your eyes. Everything was old and dirty, which to some extent I had expected. So I quickly got my key and went up to my room. The first night was fine but the second night I woke up with a small bug bite, like the kind you get from bed bugs. The third night there were three more on my ankle.
My safe wasn't working because of a dead battery and the car lot is shady so I didn't want room service in my room seeing that I had electronics.
By checkout I had multiple bed bug bites and advised the front desk not to put someone in my room on the 14th floor. Room 1415 to be exact. I doubt they took my advice. Asked to speak to a manager about it but the only "supervisor" was a woman named Melea or Malia who had been extremely rude to me the morning before.
So with THAT incident... As I said, my safe wasn't working and the front desk was untimely about getting someone to come and take care of it, so I didn't get housekeeping. Fine, whatever. Doubt they would've given me anything clean anyway since the room already had bed bugs.
Went to the front desk to get replenishment of the complimentary water bottles (which I would have gotten if I'd been able to secure my belongings and have housekeeping come in my room) and instead of getting me the water bottles she got on the phone and called a bunch of different people, all the while rolling her eyes and waving her hands around saying how she doesn't have water bottles and it is my fault I didn't get them because I didn't let housekeeping into my room.
Then another guy, Tony, said the same thing to me, "That's not how it works! We can't just give you water bottles!"
Are you guys stupid? Do you not realize that you work in a service industry? How did you even get your jobs?
Moral of the story: Stay far, far away! For a couple hundred dollars I got nothing but bug bites, attitude, a broken safe and couldn't even get a freaking bottle of water from these idiots!
