I have no idea if the location on Market is still open, but the new one at Kirby is on my regular rotation. Having moved to a larger free-standing building, Seaboat now offers chairs and tables for on-site dining as well as a drive-through window for pick-up. Your food is always made to order, which means waiting thirty minutes for fried chicken (it might be less for the fish), but it's well worth it. (And who wants fried chicken that's been sitting under a heat lamp anyway?) The slightly-spicy seasoning on the batter is delicious, and somehow never as greasy as you fear.
Meals are super cheap, featuring a few pieces of chicken or fish with two sides and a roll (sometimes it's cornbread) -- I think I ordered five meals one day and paid only twenty-five dollars for all of them! All the sides are great, but especially the fried okra and the mac and cheese (which would be amazing baked!). Service is always friendly and efficient, too.
