I have flown through this airport several times which means I spend a lot of time waiting around the gates for my connections. So the most important things for me are food, drinks, power outlets and food.
I have flown several airlines through here but so far my favorite is Continental because I get to eat gelato while I wait. There is a small coffee/gelato stand in terminal C (near gate C08) that has delicious gelato. I usually try to avoid dairy while flying (because I'm intolerant) but I couldn't resist the lure of the bright lights accenting the many colorful gelatos.
I just wanted a taste and a special treat during my holiday travel so I ordered a small with Eggnog, Salted Caramel and Coffee flavored gelatos. It was great! I didn't even mind that while I was eating the icy treat, I could look out onto the runway and see snow falling. The Salted Caramel was heavenly. The perfect blend of sweet and salty. The coffee was pretty standard for that flavor. The eggnog was my least favorite even though I usually love eggnog flavored treats. I really wanted the cookie dough but it isn't glutard friendly.
There aren't a lot of power outlets but they do offer a power outlet every few gates that has two comfy chairs in front of it. So I was able to charge my phone while reading my Kindle and licking my lips in search of a single lingering taste of salty, creamy gelato.
Verdict:
While I don't remember specifics from other "visits" to this airport, my most recent experience has given me one thing to like about Cleveland. Finally.
