| - I don't understand how Ambrosia thought they could get away with this transaction. Please view the photos I've uploaded and avoid this business at all costs, especially now since Easter and Mother's Day are on the horizon.
I ordered (what appeared online to be) a gorgeous rose bouquet for my lovely friend's birthday, and paid a good deal of money for the deluxe version-- which came out to over a hundred dollars. No problem there; she's worth it! I thought it was a bit suspicious that the photo showed a gorgeous, tasteful bunch of roses but never stated exactly how many were included. So, to be safe, I paid for the "deluxe" to ensure maximum beauty. (She does self-defense classes for fitness, thus the weird in-joke on the card).
They delivered on the right day (AT LEAST)-- but it was delivered to her as a paltry, petite bunch of several opened yellow roses, maybe than a dozen very small pale peach and white roses, and, appallingly-- PEACH CARNATIONS. The kind you can buy at an average supermarket. All this for a hundred dollars. I didn't even use any promo codes or coupons they could use to rationalize their severe corner-cutting.
...And "Approximately 13" W x 11" H"? Are they defining "approximately" as "within 5 inches on each dimension or so, whatever"?
Now, I'm a rational person who has worked in small retail before. I understand substitutions must be made sometimes, but what my friend received looked nothing at all like what was advertised and was in no way of equal value to what I paid. When I explained to her why I was so upset, I showed her the Ambrosia's online representation of what I ordered. Her reaction was, "Oh noooo... ohh, well... at least the vase is similar..."
Maybe they thought they could take advantage of me because I live in another state?
Again, I have uploaded photos and the Yelpers can judge for themselves.
