| - *****TIRE WORKS TAKES ADAVANTAGE OF ME, B/C I'M A FEMALE****
I went in 6/8/18 to have my brakes fixed, Santiago removed front two tires and right rear for inspection. Santiago removed rear right tire and informed me my "brake shoes needed to be changed" but Santiago never removed the DRUM in front of me to show me the brakes shoes. I knew he had removed it b/c I was watching my car the whole time and I heard him hammering down on the drum. But when he proceeded to show me "Brake shoes" drum was back on...(really). I ended up replacing front brakes instead of all 4, total of $305. 41 for only two front breaks. After the job was done, I drive away not even a mile and a half away I hear a strange sound coming from my rear right, sounded like my tire was going to fall out. I drive back and complain to Santiago, "it's making a sound that my car never had when I brought it to you," he jumps in my car drives around the parking lot and tells me, " yeah your rear brakes have to be changed." I explained to him, "sound was not there when I brought it to you and to please remove the tire so I can take a look at it." He removes the rear tire but doesn't remove the drum, (as if by removing the tire I'm going to find where the sound is coming from) of course he needed to remove the drum and not just the tire. I insisted for him to remove the drum and he gave me a look and said, "if I remove the drum everything is going to come forward/fall out." I looked at him and said, "no it's not and I want to speak to your manager." I said, "if you don't remove it I will." He then said, " if it's hard for me to remove then it's going to be difficult for you to take off." Manager came over and since I was about to cause a scene Corey (manager) told Santiago, "do it." Turns out I was right, Santiago removed a retainer spring from my right rear which caused brake shoe to hit against the drum, (scaring me thinking my tire was going to fall out.) Santiago had no other choice but to replace spring. There was no way I trusted Tire Work employees, I had to have my brakes reinspected by another mechanic and I was right once again. I paid for PREMIUM PADS turns out pads were not premium but organic, break cleaner (brakes were never cleaned), and new Rotors (72.86), with taxes total was $305.41. Went back to complain, spoke with Matthew he looked into the invoice and confirmed pads were not premium. Matt apologized and did not know how the mistake was made, of course I knew there was no mistake, they were just trying to take adavantage of me b/c I'm a female. Matthew did try to make things better he promised changing my pads once again for the premium pads and a free oil change. I come back today to have them replaced they tell me they are waiting for my parts to arrive, I'm like "why I came the other day to complain and he said to come back today, I'm here and my parts are not here so now I have to wait, again." I had enough, I don't have time to wait and this is the second time I come back due to there mistake. After this yelp review I will be calling corporate and will disputed charges with my bank, hope this review is helpful and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!
