  • Pawn crooks. Before they were "stars", a friend of mine pawned a very famous brand 18k gold jewel worth couple of thousands. They gave him 200 bucks for it. He had to go abroad and asked me to pay the renewal dues while he was away, which I did for the next 2 years. When he came back he went to retrieve his jewel. They told him they "couldn't find it" and gave him a miserable 200 bucks as compensation. He tried to argue but they all gathered around him in a very menacing way. So he took the 200 and left. Great way to build wealth. Screwing people in need.... :-)
