I moved here from out of state and had always used a certain flea and tic preventative treatment for my dog which I really like. When I ran out of it I began to look for Vets in the area that I could buy from. Sport Vet clinic came up so I called 2 weeks prior and they said that they carried the product and she would hold it for me. She even gave me the prices. I was happy as I like to buy in the community where I live. I went a couple of days ago to pick up the product. I was told that I could not purchase the product unless I was a client of the clinic. I indicated my dog just had a exam and I could forward that report to them. No, they said I had to be a client and examined at their clinic before they would sell to me. I explained that I had called 2 weeks prior and the girl I talked did not mention any of this nor did she ask me if I was a client. I actually had explained to her that I had moved form out of state. Their excuse was that they were training new people and she must not have known this. I was just wanting to buy in the community where I live so ended up ordering online the Vectra 3 D which was much cheaper than the price they quoted me as well as a lot less hassle. I did not argue with their procedure as they were not going to sell to me and I knew I could get it online much cheaper but left me with the feeling that they cared more about getting a new client than they did providing my pet with preventative care. My vet had no problem with giving a prescription for a online order.
